Marcelo's techniques will generally work on bigger guys, provided you have decent athleticism and base strength. Super motivating and these videos also have changed my game a lot. He not only teaches techniques, but also offers lessons on mindset as well, similar to this: Marcelo is an extremely detailed instructor, yet he is extremely concise and puts concepts in a way that is extremely easy to understand (for example by using analogies). That being said, it is the biggest reason why I am still motivated to do Jiu-Jitsu, because I have seen such an improvement in my game due to MGInAction. In addition I also want to explain and touch on the true benefits of Jiu Jitsu and how it has helped change my life and transform so many people.Firstly I'll say I have a huge bias for MgInAction, because it's the only one I use out of the 3 you listed, and also because I have very similar physical attributes to Marcelo (decently athletic, short but strong legs and arms, similar height and weight) and 100% of my game is based on his. Online training will also give me the ability to teach the concepts and techniques that have made me a world champion. I am always asked the same questions, how I got my black belt so fast, how do I continue to evolve, how do I deal with the plateau, how can you train when you only have limited time, and I hope to answer these type of questions online to help others who are going through similar situations. I am booked now until December and then I plan on slowing down my seminars significantly to make this a reality.Īn online training program will enable me to connect and spread Jiu Jitsu to a much broader audience. Needless to say my life has been truly amazing and I am very thankful for everyone’s support.Īfter giving it a lot of thought and although I consider it truly a blessing to be able conduct seminars every weekend, I have decided I can reach a broader audience with an online bjj training program. This past year, I launched my association and it has been amazing to watch and be a part of each affiliate school’s growth. We recently added Benji Silva and Gracie Varda to our Muay Thai program and have increased the roles of Queixinho, Flavio and Samir, making our Jiu Jitsu program is stronger than ever. A little over two years ago I opened a gym, the Institute of Martial Arts in San Jose and have seen it steadily grow into one of the bay area’s premier academies. For many years I have been lucky enough to travel around the world conducting seminars, meeting great people and sharing my philosophy.
